About Dr Bernard Ho

Dr Bernard Ho (He/Him) MBBS MRCP (Dermatology) PgCert (Hons) MBA (Distinction) is a UK-trained Consultant Dermatologist who sees and treats adults for all skin conditions. He has a special interest in LGBTQ+ health and appreciates the interface between skin health and mental health. Under the NHS, he leads the local Skin and Mind clinic. Dr Ho consults on all general dermatology in adults and treats conditions such as acne, eczema, allergy, and psoriasis. For appropriate skin lesions or moles, he is experienced in dermatological surgical procedures such as skin biopsies, surgical removal of lesions, curettage, cryotherapy and photodynamic therapy. He also performs injections to treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). As an LGBTQ+-affirming clinician, he is able to recognise the intersectional and multiple influences in his patients’ journey to skin health. As the Lead Adviser for the Skin Health Alliance (a skin health accreditation body), he understands how to advise skincare for his patients. Dr Ho is the Chair of the BAD Skin Diversity Subcommittee and Co-Chair of the LGBTQ+ Staff Network at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is currently the Senior Honorary Secretary of the RSM Dermatology Section and Co-Secretary for Psychodermatology UK. Previously a former Clinical Lead for dermatology at St George’s Hospital, he currently leads the local Skin and Mind service.
